Q: What is the Gauge of my Nose Ring?
A: Gauge refers to the thickness of a piercing. Typically a nose ring is 20 gauge but sometimes piercers will use an 18 gauge needle which is thicker than 20 gauge. Additionally, it may even be 22 gauge if you were pierced with a gun or put a thinner nose ring in once your piercing healed. It is always best to ask your piercer to know what size you were pierced with, but the most common is 20 gauge.
